I've read chapter 1 through 33 and it is an amazing book in these lines I will try and summarize this part of the book so that you can enjoy the story without having to read the whole book.
Our story starts in Paris, France, inside one of the world's greatest museums; The Louvre, the owner of the Louvre Jaques Sauniere is attacked in the middle of the night by a tall albino member of a religious society called Opus Dei which is an organization which has inspired thousands of members to follow "the way" these members believe that "your faith is measured by the amount of pain you can endure" this might sound crazy to some people but the recomende amout of time torturing one's self daily is TWO HOURS, well let's get back to the story. Sauniere locks himself in the Grand gallery of the Louvre by pulling a painting off the wall and setting off the security system, the gallery contains some of the most known Italian paintings paintings such as the Mona Lisa, The Vitruvian Man and many more. the member of Opus Dei's name is Silas; Silas shoots the owner of the Louvre in the stomac giving him time to place a very complicated set of clues he had created years ago to reveal a very important secret. Sauniere was a member of the secret society of the Lily which was a society created to preserve the very important secret Sauniere has hidden with guile in the scene of his murder. This secret society is not known to a lot of people, but apparantly the Opus Dei are in serch of a secret deeply buried in the secret society of the Lily.
Mr. Sauniere knowing this great secret gives clues to how to find it and it is up to American expert symbologist Robert Langdon helped by Saunieres' grand-daughter who is a well known, French cryptographer to follow the clues to the amazing secret hidden deep in thousands of years fraternity. As langdon is faces great opponents and is Followed by the rough equivalent of the CIA in France; DCPJ officer in command of Jaques Sunieres' murder Besue Fache, he will have to dig through thousands of years of symbology and Female paganism. As he reveals different interconnection hidden in word-puzzles, famous paintings and even religion and nature.
